The Elkhart Township Board and Trustee will meet at the Elkhart Township Office, 106 N. Fifth St., Goshen, at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 3, to consider the adoption of the township's Capital Improvement Plan.

Taxpayers appearing at the meeting shall have the right to comment. The Capital Improvement Plan as adopted will be referred to the Department of Local Government Finance.

For the City\'s Unified Development Ordinance, an open house has been scheduled for the public to view and ask questions about the final draft. The task force convened by the Mayor has been working since the beginning of the year on this draft that will update and combine the zoning and subdivision ordinances, both of which are over 40 years old. The final draft will be presented to Plan Commission and Council later this year for approval.
