Photo ID Requirement
Indiana law requires voters to present a government-issued photo ID before voting at the polls. Your ID must:

Photo Display your photo.

Name Display your name, which must conform to the name on your voter registration record. The names do not have to be identical.

Expiration date Include an expiration date and be either current or have expired after November 5, 2024. Certain military, veteran, and Native American tribal IDs are exempt from the expiration-date requirement.

Issued by Be issued by the State of Indiana or the U.S. government.
In most cases, an Indiana driver’s license, Indiana photo ID card, military or veteran ID, or U.S. passport will meet the requirements.
College or university IDs are no longer accepted as proof of identification for voting purposes.
The address on your photo ID does not have to match the address on your voter registration record.
If you do not have an acceptable photo ID, Indiana provides free state identification cards for voting purposes. Certain exemptions to the photo ID requirement also apply.
